Information from DJs
We collect account details (name, email, phone where provided), DJ profile and payout information needed to operate tipping, withdrawals, and compliance checks.
Information from fans
When tipping, we may collect display name, phone or email for receipts, optional message or song request, and technical data needed to complete the payment flow.
Payment-related data
Kue does not store full card PAN/CVV. Mobile money flows are handled by certified payment partners; we may store references, status, amounts, and limited metadata required for reconciliation and support.
Third-party payment providers process transactions under their own privacy policies.
Receipts & payment support
If you choose to share an email address when tipping, we use it only to email you a receipt and to follow up if you raise a payment issue. The email is never shared with the DJ or used for marketing. You can revisit the receipt later via a private link such as /receipt/<token>.
Receipts include the tip amount, the public payment-method label (for example "MTN & Airtel Mobile Money"), the payment reference, and any message or song request you submitted. They never include the DJ's payout details or raw provider payloads.
Emails, notifications & cookies
We send operational emails (tips, withdrawals, security) and optional product updates where permitted. We use cookies and similar technologies for sessions, security, and basic analytics.

Data retention (draft)
We retain account and transaction records as needed for legal, tax, and dispute resolution obligations, then delete or anonymise where appropriate. Exact periods may depend on jurisdiction and processor requirements.

We use industry-standard practices (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring) appropriate to the risk. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
